Sharon Colling, President and Principal of Lantern Health Services, has over twenty years of long term care experience. She has served both rural and urban skilled nursing, nursing, assisted living, adult day care, and CCRC communities in a variety of capacities, including: Certified Social Worker, Administrator, Management Consultant, Owner, and Regional Vice-President.

Professional accomplishments include: guiding a skilled nursing facility from a ban on admissions to eight deficiency-free surveys in nine years; achieving OSHA SHARP designations for two facilities; transforming a SNF into an Eden environment; achieving Medicare/Medicaid certification and AL/SNF licensure for facilities for multiple states; securing substantial grant funds for a for-profit facility; facilitating the opening of independent, assisted, and skilled facilities; participating in the purchase, sale, and startup of facilities; initiating formation of S-Corps, LLCs, and a 501(c)3 Foundation; assuring HUD 232 compliance; maintaining rigorous advocacy for reimbursement; and serving as a preceptor for students in AIT and mentor programs. She has a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Nebraska and has worked exclusively in long term care since 1990.
